COURSE OVERVIEW
In this course, attendees learn about the Scrum Master role in an organization using SAFe. Unlike a traditional Scrum Master training that only focuses on working with a single Agile team, this SAFe Scrum Master training also explores the role of the Scrum Master in the wider organization. It prepares the attendee to plan and execute a Program Increment (PI), including the essential methods and techniques in Agile work and Scrum.
The course includes facilitating interaction and collaboration between Agile teams, executing a PI, and relentless improvement. The course builds on the foundations of Scrum and also introduces the concept of scaling Agile and DevOps methods, using Kanban for visualizing flow and supporting the interaction with architects, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Included are tools and techniques for building high-performing teams and practical approaches to countering Agile and Scrum anti-patterns.
PREREQUISITES
All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience.
However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended:
- Familiarity with Agile concepts and principles
- Awareness of Scrum, Kanban, and eXtreme Programming (XP)
- Working knowledge of software and hardware development processes

Johanna Ekeberg is an experienced Lean-Agile Coach, trainer and facilitator driven by empowering people and teams, and facilitating the shift into organizational agility. Johanna has over 15 years of experience from driving organizational change in a variety of organizations in the private and public sectors. She has been part of several Lean-Agile transformations and has hands-on experience as Product Owner and Scrum Master.
In addition, Johanna has experience from change management and traditional project management, which helps her understand where leaders and teams come from when guiding them in the transition to organizational agility.
