Advanced SAFe® Practice Consultant (ASPC) is an advanced course for certified SPCs with experience supporting SAFe transformations. The course focuses on the challenges that emerge after implementation has begun, including executive engagement, transformation strategy, portfolio flow, and sustaining long-term business agility.

Experience working with executives, portfolio management, or transformation strategy will help participants get the most out of the course.
Certification
After completing the course, participants are eligible to take the Advanced SAFe Practice Consultant certification exam.
The certification process includes:
- instructor-led learning sessions
- peer learning and application exercises
- a scenario-based certification exam
Participants who successfully pass the exam earn the Advanced SAFe Practice Consultant certification and receive a digital badge recognizing their achievement.
COURSE OVERVIEW
The Advanced SAFe Practice Consultant (ASPC) course is designed for experienced SAFe Practice Consultants who want to deepen their impact in enterprise transformations. While the SPC certification provides the foundation for launching SAFe implementations, the Advanced SPC course focuses on the challenges that arise after adoption begins — engaging executives, shaping transformation strategy, improving portfolio flow, and adapting SAFe to the realities of complex organizations.
During four days of instructor-led learning, participants work with realistic transformation scenarios, exchange experiences with other experienced practitioners, and strengthen their ability to guide organizations beyond initial SAFe adoption toward long-term business agility.
The course prepares participants to pursue the Advanced SAFe Practice Consultant (ASPC) certification.
Important Update for SAFe Instructors
Starting June 2026, Scaled Agile requires instructors who teach certain advanced SAFe courses to hold the Advanced SAFe Practice Consultant (ASPC) certification.
This reflects the increasing expectations placed on transformation leaders supporting large-scale agile transformations. Advanced SAFe courses now emphasize capabilities such as:
- enterprise transformation strategy
- portfolio-level thinking and flow
- executive engagement and coaching
- responsible customization of SAFe
- understanding how emerging technologies such as AI influence organizations
For SPCs who currently teach or plan to teach advanced SAFe courses, obtaining the ASPC certification ensures continued eligibility and strengthens the capabilities required to guide complex transformations.
Course Structure
The Advanced SPC course is delivered as a four-day instructor-led learning experience combining facilitated learning, peer discussion, and practical application. The program begins with one online session on Monday, May 25, followed by three in-person days in Copenhagen on June 2–4.
The course includes the following modules:
- Introducing the Advanced SPC Role
- Embracing AI
- Engaging Executives
- Developing a Transformation Strategy
- Unlocking Portfolio Flow
- Customizing SAFe
Participants also work in a Learning Lab, where they apply the concepts to realistic transformation scenarios and discuss approaches with other experienced practitioners.
