THE LEADERSHIP LAB
The Leadership Lab is a community, a think-tank, a discord channel, a series of meetups, and much more centered on exploring and defining how to lead teams and organizations exposed to a high rate of change all facilitated by Carl Starendal.
UPCOMING EVENT – March 24th – STOCKHOLM
Leadership Lab Open Space Conference – “How do we lead effectively in times of rapid change?”
This upcoming session of the Leadership Lab in Stockholm is an Open Space Conference (read more about the conference format here), where all participants are asked to contribute topics related to the conference topic and host smaller 20-minute discussions on the selected topics. There will be a few warmup presentations, as well as light food, drinks, and networking, and then we will dedicate the evening to co-creating a small leadership conference using the open space format.
Location: Helio GT30, Grev turegatan 30, Stockholm
Time: 16:30-20:30
Evening schedule:
- 16:00-16:30 – Doors open & coffee and networking
- 16:30-17:00 – Introduction – Welcome to The Lab Open Space Conference
- 17:00-17:45 – Short Warmup Lightning Talks
- 17:45-18:15 – Food, drinks & hangout
- 18:15-18:45 – Open Space Marketplace – Creating the conference – Everyone can suggest a topic!
- 18:45-20:00 – Three 25-minute rounds of Open Space Conference talks in smaller groups
- 20:00-20:30 – Closing summary & presentations from each conference group
- 20:30-22:00 – Optional: Join us for a beer at the Bull & Bear Bar on Grev Turegatan

PAST EVENT – OCTOBER 22nd – STOCKHOLM
This upcoming session of the Leadership Lab in Stockholm focuses on systems thinking and leadership. It is the third in a series of three in-person labs during 2024, where we focus on indirect leadership. This specific evening will feature several speakers on the subject, with a focus on the organization as part of the leadership being exercised. The evening’s lab exercise will be a deep dive into the Iceberg Model from Peter Senge and MIT. There will also be drinks, food, discussions, reflections, and more throughout the evening 🙂
