This course has two parts where you first will learn about the SAFe framework as the trainers will train you in how to teach the Leading SAFe class yourselves. In the second part, you will learn pragmatic patterns for how to apply the “SAFe implementation Roadmap” to get started with SAFe in your organization.

Both SAFe Fellow Carl Starendal and Emanuel are two highly acclaimed trainers that have decades of practical experience from applying Agile and Lean both for single teams and at enterprise scale.

This course is for anyone who will be involed in a Lean-Agile transformation supported by the SAFe framework. This includes leaders, consultants, Agile coaches and change agents who will take part in creating and coaching Agile Teams, Trains and Portfolios.

In this course the attendee will learn how to lead a Lean-Agile transformation supported by practices and principles from the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).

By participating in the course the attendee will also have the option to certify as a SAFe® 5 Program Consultant (SPC) and Agile Coach and thus becoming enabled to teach and certify others using SAFe courses.

The training is both directed towards how to best use the SAFe framework but is also focused on learning how to teach the Leading SAFe training both in the room and online. The attendee will learn how to build high-performing Agile Teams, Trains and Portfolios as well as how to apply a customer-centric view using Design Thinking, Agile product delivery and Lean portfolio management. The final part of the training is focused on using the SAFe implementation roadmap to shift an organisation from a traditional way of creating products services to a modern Agile and Lean approach.


Anyone who will be a part of an Lean-Agile transformation is welcome in the course. However, we strongly recommend the following prerequisites if you intend to take the included (and optional) SAFe SPC certification exam.

  • Five or more years of experience from development, testing, requirements gathering, product/project management
  • Three or more years experience from Agile systems engineering
  • One or more Agile certifications



  • High quality training delivered by two experienced We Are Movement Trainers including SAFe Fellow/SPCT Carl Starendal

  • Membership in the “We Are Movement” slack community

  • One-year membership to the SAFe Community Platform

  • Attendee workbook (physical if in-room course, digital if online course)

  • Light breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee every day in training (during public in-person training)

  • High quality course venue (for public in-person training)

  • Certification exam for the SAFe Program Consultant certification (SPC)

  • Optional dinner in the evening on the first day of the course (when attending public in-person training)
